45 Striped Dolphins killed, 23 November2013

23.11.2013

The lust for blood continued today here in Taiji. The killers left the harbor in search of a pod just after daybreak. Nearly 3 hours later, they found what they were looking for. A family of wild Dolphins, that were unfortunately swimming too close in the waters off the coast of Japan.

After fighting for their lives for mile upon mile, a family of Striped Dolphin were netted into the killing cove. A thin line separating them from the freedom they will never know again. Side by side, trainers and killers worked to contain the pod and selected 1 Striped Dolphin for a life of exploitation and slavery.

This helpless dolphin went from the killing cove, to a transportation box and then driven to one of the three holding facilities that steal and then sell Dolphins across the globe.

The remaining pod of 40-45 Striped Dolphins went into a frenzy, as they did all that they could to escape the barbarians intent on taking their lives. Many threw themselves upon the rocks. Others, trying to gain freedom, got caught in the nets and began to drown, only then to be dragged back to the killing shore and slaughtered. The blood and screams of the dying Dolphins, as well as the killers struggling to dominate them, culminated into a most horrible silence.
